Baz Ashmawy gets revved up for Setanta Insurance's anti-drug driving campaign...

Ireland's fastest growing motor insurer is spearheading the campaign to raise awareness on the dangers of drug driving among young people and has been joined by Baz as ambassador for the initiative.
Keep Drama Off The Roads is a new campaign targeting young people aged 15-25 to urge them to take a closer examination of the terrifying consequences of drug driving. Young people are being asked to create their own four-minute film to capture the dramatic impact of Ireland's growing social problem in order to make drivers think twice before getting behind the wheel of a car.
Baz said: "Getting this issue out in the open is the first step; driving while under the influence of both illegal and prescription drugs puts drivers and other road-users in serious danger. It is important that young people consider the devastating impact that drug-driving carries in order to put the brakes firmly on activity which is a world away from glamourous party images that surround us.
"Driving under the influence of drugs is dangerous and I am really pleased to join Setanta and be part of a campaign to raise awareness of a growing problem in Ireland.
"To make a really good short film, you need a simple but great idea, four minutes isn't a long time so you need to ensure you get your point across clearly, it's not easy, but I have great faith in the creativity of Ireland's future filmmakers!" continued Baz.
Short films can be entered for the competition by visiting www.keepdramaofftheroads.ie - an online resource for the facts about driving under the influence of drugs, the dangers and the penalties, as well as handy hints and tips about making your film.
Mike Matthews, Chairman and CEO, Setanta Insurance added: "We are really pleased Baz has joined the team. We are sure he will be a great ambassador for Keep Drama off the Roads, his drama background will be invaluable when spotting a good plot and well executed short film as well as connecting with a young audience."
Keep Drama off the Roads film competition will see one lucky winner scoop a €3000 prize as well as the chance to have their filmed screened to the public.
