Setanta Insurance walked off with two prestigious gongs at the 21st Irish Brokers association Insurance Awards on Tuesday, February 15.

The fastest growing vehicle insurance company in the Irish market won the category for the Best Commercial Vehicle Insurance Product and also picked up the prize for the Most Improved Ranking Award (Specialist Sector).

Deirdre McLoughlin, Setanta Insurance's Group Operations Director collected the awards at the Four Seasons Hotel in Dublin.

Deirdre said the double success was a fitting reward for the company's innovative and transparent business strategy which set out to "change the way insurance is done" when it launched in October 2007.

Setanta Insurance, which sells its products only via brokers rather than direct to the consumer, said its Commercial Vehicle Insurance Product had proved a huge success in the market.

The commercial policy, for vehicles up to seven tonnes includes an open driving option for all drivers aged 24 to 70, 60% No Claim Discount after 5 years claim free driving and two year No Claims Bonus Step-Back all as standard.

Deirdre said: "The awards are a reflection of the fantastic support we have had from brokers and their clients and for the vision we set ourselves when we launched Setanta Insurance just over three years ago.

"We set ourselves the challenge of changing the way insurance is delivered in Ireland and we believe that we have gone a long way towards offering brokers and clients a real alternative in the market."

One of the firm's biggest assets is its team of committed professionals who have proven their dedication and loyalty in the three years since the Company's inception.

Mike Matthews, CEO of Setanta Insurance, added: "We set ourselves the goal of providing innovative, competitive policies for both commercial and private vehicles, simplifying administration and avoiding any hidden charges. This will continue to be what drives this business going forward."
